Stamping parts manufacturing process
Source: Release time: 2023.05.15
Stamping processing is a production technology that utilizes the power of conventional or specialized stamping equipment to directly deform the sheet metal in the mold, thereby obtaining a certain shape, size, and performance of product parts. Sheet metal, molds, and equipment are the three elements of stamping processing. Stamping is a method of metal cold deformation processing. So, it is called cold stamping or sheet metal stamping, abbreviated as stamping. It is one of the main methods of metal plastic processing (or pressure processing) and also belongs to material forming engineering technology. The mold used for stamping parts is called a stamping die, abbreviated as a stamping die. Stamping dies are specialized tools that process materials (metal or non-metal) in bulk into the required stamping parts. Stamping dies are crucial in stamping, and without qualified dies, mass stamping production is difficult to carry out; Without advanced stamping dies, advanced stamping processes cannot be achieved. The stamping process, molds, stamping equipment, and stamping materials constitute the three elements of stamping processing, and only when they are combined can stamping parts be obtained.

Stamping parts processing

1. Determine the amount of deformation compensation based on material, product structure, etc,

2. Design molds based on compensation to punch out finished or semi-finished products

3. Processing semi-finished products to finished products

4. Adverse phenomena include cracking, wrinkling, pulling, uneven thickness, non forming, and other tapping and thread processing:

1. Drill the diameter and depth of the bottom hole for the internal thread first (the size of the bottom hole is determined based on the thread specification, and a large number of them can be searched online); Machine the outer circle of the external thread first to the major diameter size of the thread (determine the size based on the thread specification, search online for a large number)

2. Thread processing: Internal threads are tapped with corresponding grade taps; External threads can be turned with a thread cutter or threaded with a die

3. Adverse phenomena include disordered threads, inconsistent dimensions, and unqualified thread gauge inspection. Materials such as copper, aluminum, and low-carbon steel with low deformation resistance, good plasticity, and good ductility are mainly selected according to the usage requirements. Inspection specifications need to be formulated according to product requirements. Thread pattern inspection has national standard thread gauges, and hole inspection can be designed according to national standard plug gauges or purchased with national standard size plug gauges.
